I went to an estate sale in Golden Valley, Ariz. @ five yrs ago. They had an old mod. 81 sitting in the corner that never came up for bid. When the sale ended, I went up to one of the relatives, to inquire about the rifle. Was told they were afraid to sell it, because it was broke. I told them that I had several, and would take it for parts. Short version…. ser.# said it was manufactured in 1950. Filled the space btwn barrels w/LPS2, bolt was stuck, don’t think it had been fully dis-assembled since it was made. After 3 wks. of soaking, finally got it apart. Works fine today, use it on hogs.
